HELPING FROM ANYWHERE
People don’t necessarily need to have elderly
neighbors to help out seniors. At stores, people
can offer to return an elderly person’s shopping
cart. They can retrieve items on bottom or top
shelves for elderly shoppers. They can open
and hold doors for seniors. If there’s a long
line in a store, coffee shop, or anywhere else,
a person can offer an elderly adult his or her
place in line. A person can also give up a seat
on a busy bus or in a waiting room.
