This addiction is fueled by elements of the games themselves.

video game addiction.
Video games have become increasingly addictive over time.
In the past, video game manufacturers would release the whole
game and then create a sequel (for example, Super Mario Bros.
1, 2, and 3). Now, video games are designed to keep the players
engaged because there is no end. There is no way to beat the
game. The player just continues to level up. There is no satisfac-
tion in completion, only the desire to keep advancing.
