Some farms use complete mix digesters.
plastic or rubber cover. As the biogas rises, it flows out
through a pipe on top.
A complete mix digester can be above or below
ground. It is a heated, sealed tank. This digester uses a
motor or pump to mix the poop and push it through a
tube on the other side. Sometimes water or liquid waste
is also added to the slurry. The biogas rises to the top of
the tank. Then it is collected.
The third most popular anaerobic digester is the
covered lagoon. These are mostly used on pig farms.
