Most Common Cancers in Children and Teens
Leukemia is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in children under the
age of fourteen and epithelial cancers of the tissues lining surfaces of the
body and organs are the mostly commonly diagnosed cancers in young
people between the ages of fifteen and nineteen. This is the finding of a
2017 National Cancer Institute report. The pie charts show the incidence
of different cancer diagnoses for children and teens worldwide between
2009 and 2012, which is the most recent information available.
