Suddenly the big bull took off running, pushing past the
others. Within seconds, the entire herd was charging.
Shoop reached over and pushed the camera’s stop button.
“Did you see anything?” he asked Isabel.
“No,” she said. “Maybe there wasn’t anything in par-
ticular. Bison can be temperamental and unpredictable.
Sometimes they just decide to run without any apparent
reason.”
