“What were you looking at when I pulled in?” Isabel
asked Buck.
“A little orange drone,” Buck said. “It was zipping all
over the place, kind of like a hummingbird, hovering
here and darting there. Then it flew off in that direction.”
Buck pointed toward the back row of the parking lot.
Now there were only two vehicles parked there, the Green
Beast and the see america firsT RV.
Toni quickly pulled off her backpack, took out a
pamphlet, and opened it up.
“Look,” she said. “It says you’re not supposed to fly
them in Yellowstone!”
She held the pamphlet out for Buck to see. In the corner
was a small icon of a machine with four legs and four
rotary blades. A red circle was drawn around the drone
and a red line slashed at an angle through the middle of
it. Under the icon were the words remoTe-conTrolled
aircrafT prohiBiTed.
“We’ve been having a lot of trouble with those lately,”
Isabel said. “Another case of ‘the rules don’t apply to me.’
Besides disturbing people and wildlife, we’ve actually had
